    Up for auction is this hand made pink calico and natural muslin
    'Barbara Frietchie Star '
    quilt measuring approximately 33  x 41  inches that I have made
    Barbara Frietchie is the heroine of a Civil War poem written in 1863, by John Greenleaf Whittier, a copy of which you will receive with purchase
    .
    This quilt consists of the following 3 layers:
    Top Layer - 100% Cotton - triangles of a pink floral calico and natural muslin triangles set together in the "Barbara Frietchie Star" pattern.
    Middle Layer - Polyester batting
    Bottom Layer - Backing - 100% cotton - natural muslin
    Binding: 100% cotton green calico  which was attached to the quilt by machine and bound by hand
    Quilt is machine stitched and all three layers  "tied" with matching floss.
    This quilt is new - without tags - unwashed and comes from a smoke free home.
