    Description

WWII Japanese Army Artillery Type 41 Mountain Gun wooden crate that measures 30 inches long by 18 inches wide, and 10 inches tall. This held brass cartridge casings. The inside bottom is SHOWA dated 19 (1944) and  bears a NAGOYA ARSENAL stamp. Outside box end bears a NAGOYA ARSENAL paper label, opposite end had a label, but it was lost to time. The wooden lid also bears numerous Japanese ink stamps on the inside.
Crate has its original rope handles, shows some scuffs, dents, ect, from being 77 years old. But the overall condition is pretty damn good!
Anybody who collects WWII Japanese militaria knows, finding any Japanese ordnance or related wooden crates/boxes..ect is very hard to do. So many did not survive the war unlike their numerous German counterparts that did. In fact you can find online dealers who make replica US, British, German, Russian wooden military/ordnance boxes, and crates. But nobody makes any replica Japanese boxes as so few survived the war.
