Vintage APPLIQUÉ Quilt featuring gorgeous Poppies, Bachelor Buttons, Wheat Shafts, with fantastic scalloped border, 1930s or 1940s, from a kit. Wonderful design and execution. The appliqué and quilting work is very good. Condition is very good as well.

Excellent condition, with a couple of light, inconspicuous spots that may be removed; it has no wear. Any shading in photos is from poor light in the photos, as the quilt is entirely crisp, bright white with sharp, beautiful, primary-colored appliqués.
This beautiful cotton 30's or 40’s poppies quilt is hand-appliqued and hand-quilted, with hand-embroidered accents. The back is white; the hand-stitched binding is red; and the batting is thin. The border is scalloped.
It measures 80" X 90".
There is quilting around the applique and in grid, straight line, and spiral designs in the background, all at 7 stitches to the inch.
The beautiful combination of floral designs, using various sized poppies, with bachelor buttons, wheat sheaves and leaves and the wonderful color combination of reds and pinks, blues, yellow make this vintage quilt special and outstanding. It would make a fantastic addition to any decor and bedroom.
