Vintage Beautiful Handmade Rosebud APPLIQUE Quilt from a Kit in Amazing Condition.
This BEAUTIFUL cotton mid-century rosebud quilt is hand-appliquéd and hand-quilted, with lovely hand-embroidered accents and a scalloped edge. Lovely pattern and great stitching The binding on the scalloped edges is rose in color and is in great condition.
It measures 84" X 70" and is overall in excellent shape, with a couple of tiny, very light inconspicuous spots on the back side not visible at all on the front. It shows no wear at all, as if never used.
The quilting is superb, with quilting around and within the applique and in close straight line, grid, and elaborate feathered designs in the background, all at 7-8 stitches to the inch. The back is white, the hand stitched binding is rose, and the batting is thin. The embroidered touches like brown thorns on stems and in flowers are really special and help make this near perfect quilt stand out so much.
