Rivergrade Solar Aeration Kit SP15-AS9-1
is designed for ponds between 1,000 to 4,000 gallons depending on depth, shape and biological oxygen demand of the pond.  Maximum depth of diffuser placement is 6 ft.
Completely Solar Powered Operation!!! No battery and no charge controller needed. Rivergrade Solar Aeration kit offer longest daylight operation at highest air output compared to all other competing solar aeration products at the same price range.
Place the pump underneath the solar panel or pitched roof to shaded from continuous sunshine.  Do not cover the pump completely or placed under overly protected housing that can trap heat. Simple angled roof or under the solar panel can offer good air circulation with outdoor breeze.
The system is expandable to night time operation or 24/7 operation if you choose to add additional solar panel, charge controller and 12VDC battery bank at a later date.

All diffuser regardless of whether they are ceramic, rubber membrane or other type of material should have a back flow valve to prevent water from entering your airline. If you do get water coming back up your airline it can cause compressor issues as every time your compressor has to restart, it has to first push the water out of the airline which requires extra pressure. Secondly water in your airline can freeze during the winter months, which means no air comes out and you put undue pressure on your compressor, which can burn up motors and/or break crankshafts and pistons quickly.
