This is not CZ, this material has all the same properties as natural Sapphire.
The stone is cut is a Cushion. Extremely brilliant stone. Competition style cut and polished stone, polished on a Ceramic lap (You just haven't seen a bright gem until you have seen one polished on a Ceramic lap. Generally only competition cutters use these polishing laps. Very difficult to use but when used correctly produces the flattest facets with the brightest polish).
Dark areas in the photos are reflections from the camera. The piece is much nicer in hand  and truly a super stone. Nice size and will make a gorgeous piece of jewelry or for collection. Precision cutting by Sant.
