17 X 41  / 8:44 to 1 Ratio
These are the famous ratio "8:44 to 1" CMR Race Gear,
Dio 50 Secondary 17 x 41. Back in the 90's when we found this ratio, they were the top selling ratio. Because all they had was either 10 to 1 ratio or tall 6.9 to 1 ratio. The were right in the middle.
These are Straight cut gears. In the
performance
world, they use straight cut because they are stronger.
These are great for Dio type 72cc engines and much bigger with big carb and performance exhaust set up. They will give you more top end speed on a built engine with out robbing low end dig. They will also keep your RPMs down, which mean a cooler running motor and better gas mileage.
Note, they also fit the SYM DD50. In the DD50 the ratio comes out to about a 6.9 to 1.
