Cats and Colorful Squares Patchwork Quilt handmade lap size cotton fabrics

Description

This lap size quilt (measuring 38" by 49") is made from pieced cotton fabrics and polyester batting. The fabrics used are 100% cotton with many different scraps along with the main print of rainbow outlines of cats on black.  Each of the scrap squares have 2 squares of colorful raindrops on black fabrics.  This raindrop print, and a turquoise blue with a light swirl are also used between the purple outlining rectangles.  The back is a colorful dot on black fabric.  It is hand-quilted to hold the layers of batting and cloth.   Hand quilting provides the loft or puffiness that allows for heat retention/insulation as well as keeping the quilt light and fluffy.  You can machine wash and dry this quilt.
This quilt was handmade in a non-smoking but pet friendly home - as you can see in one photo my cat is approving this quilt.
