Load 35mm film on old cameras designed for 620 film format!
This Film Adapter set lets you load normal 35mm film in cameras made for 620 film spools.
With the 35mm film in a 620 film camera you’ll get between 24 (36 exposure roll) and 17 (24 exposure roll) panoramic-format photographs with a size of about 2 11/64 x 1 3/8 inches (55 x 35mm).
The parts are printed with a very solid PETG polymer, which is even stronger than the 620 spool material itself!
The KIT come with two universal adapters. (2 pcs)
Adapters are easy to use and offer several benefits:
Adapters allow you to use 35mm films that are not available in 620 format.
Because of the 35mm films size when shot in a 620 format camera the entire 35mm film is exposed (height wise) giving a unique visual effect.
NOTES: If you have a little red window in the back of the camera you
MUST
cover it with black tape to prevent any light leaks since 35mm film does not have a paper back.
A little trial and error is to be expected.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT USING THESE ADAPTERS!!!
Not all 620 cameras can be adapted to 35mm. In general examine that amount of room around your original 620 spool. If the spool fits tight (
diameter wise
) then these adapters may not work. However if you have a little space, say 3-4mm or more then you should be fine.
Ive tried them on
Kodak Brownie Target Six-20 (fits perfect), Kodak Brownie, Hawkeye, Dualflex, and a Bulls-Eye.
They fit tight and in some cases you will need to remove the little metal tab
in the center
that is used to press down on the spool but this will not effect the camera if you ever want to use 620 rolls again.
I have not tested on any other model. If you have success with other cameras please let me know.
I can not guarantee any other model at this time.
When finished shooting a roll you will need to open the camera in a darkened room and manually rewind the film into the 35mm canister. Rarely if any 620 camera will have a rewind feature.
You can use an original 620 spool as your take up spool. If you do not have one please see my other 620 listing kit that includes a custom take up spool.
