This 2017 United States Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle Indian Head Pattern Gem Proof Silver Medal was struck by Germany's Mayer Mint in stunning high relief. This example was struck in .9999 fine gold on a 1/2 oz. planchet. It includes a black National Parks branded drawstring pouch. It is offered by MCM in conjunction with the National Park Foundation and the Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site. The mintage was limited to a low 1,500 units.
An Artistic Vision, Realized
At the time of the great coinage redesign, the artist-preferred obverse for the Gold "Double Eagle" by Augustus Saint-Gaudens was the familiar "Indian Head" design that was ultimately used on the Gold Eagle coin. It features Liberty wearing a Native American Head Dress. This issue features a faithful re-sculpting of the original design by John M. Mercanti, 12th Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint. The reverse image is a faithful reproduction of the classic Saint-Gaudens Flying Eagle reverse that was used on the circulating Double Eagle.

If the product is not returned with all original packaging and bonus items, is incomplete, or is returned after the 30-day return period, the Company reserves the right not to accept the return or to accept the return subject to a 20% restocking fee, in the Company's sole discretion. All returns with a purchase price over 0 must include a Return Authorization Number.
