1891 Imperial Life Insurance Co. Illust. Receipt (London) - 1 Penny Lilac Stamp

1891 illustrated receipt from the Imperial Life Insurance Company of London.
The top of the receipt has a detailed company logo showing both hemispheres of the globe and the British crown straddling the two, and it notes that the company was established way back in 1820.  The receipt is dated January 1, 1891, and it is made out in the amount of 10 Pounds for renewal of a life insurance policy.
It has one 1 Penny Lilac "Postage and Inland Revenue" stamp, which has a cancellation reading January 1, 1891 (Imperial Life Office).
It is a rare and attractive item, and the receipt is in nice, clean condition, with only two vertical folds and one horizontal fold.  This is a great piece ready to enhance any collection of British commercial instruments.
